The Arendell Parrott Academy Patriots's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their third straight loss. They took a 57-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of Pungo Christian Academy. While losing is never fun, Arendell Parrott Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings (they are ranked 251st, while Pungo Christian Academy is ranked 111th).
Arendell Parrott Academy's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Chase Jones, who scored 20 points along with 5 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Fletcher Jones, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 10 rebounds.
Arendell Parrott Academy now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Pungo Christian Academy, the victory (which was their eighth in a row) raised their record to 8-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Arendell Parrott Academy will stay at home for another game and welcome Wilson Christian Academy at 7:00 p.m. on December 7th. Pungo Christian Academy will take on Epiphany at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
