Caroline barely beat Mechanicsville the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Cavaliers put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp  16-1 win on Wednesday. Considering the Cavaliers have won four matchups by more than eight  runs this season, Wednesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Jaidyn Tingen made a splash while hitting and pitching. She  tossed two innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Tingen was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with one  triple and one  RBI. That  triple marked the first that  she  hit this season.
 In other batting news,  Ava Anderson was  incredible,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and four  RBI.  Nya Howard was another key player,  scoring three  runs and  stealing two bases while going 2-for-4.
 Caroline  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .583. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mechanicsville only posted  an  OBP of  .059.
The  victory made it two in a row for Caroline and  bumps their season record up to 6-2. The  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 2  run in those games. As for Mechanicsville, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Caroline will challenge Chancellor at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday. The Chargers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 18.67  runs per game on average), something the Cavaliers will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Mechanicsville, they will square off against Patrick Henry at 6:00  p.m.  on Friday.
