Baseball Recap: Mifflin County's Luck Changes for the Better on Monday

Mifflin County had lost three straight, but after bumping their record up to 2-3 on Monday that streak is in the rearview. They came out on top against the Cedar Cliff Colts by a score of 7-2. The Huskies' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

As for Cedar Cliff, their loss dropped their record down to 2-4. The matchup marked their lowest-scoring game so far this season.

For Cedar Cliff's part, they got a good showing from Max Utsick, who tossed 2.2 innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Furthermore, Utsick didn't allow a single walk, the first time he has blanked an opponent since back in April of 2025.

On the hitting side, Cedar Cliff saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Anastasi, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with one run.
