The Santa Fe Chiefs entered their tilt with the El Rancho Dons with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Santa Fe walked away with a 35-25 victory over El Rancho on Friday. Santa Fe pushed the score to 28-6 by the end of the third, a deficit El Rancho cut but never quite recovered from.
It was another big night for Tariq Bush, who rushed for 312 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 14.9 yards per carry. Bush was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 62 yards.
When it comes to explaining why El Rancho lost, one person who can't be blamed is Andrew Guerrero. Despite the final result, he picked up 196 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Ryan Dominguez was another key contributor, throwing for 288 yards and four touchdowns.
Santa Fe's victory was their sixth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-3. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 39.8 points per game. As for El Rancho, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-8.
Santa Fe will be playing at home against Rim of the World at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. El Rancho does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
