Fort Calhoun extended the longest winning streak in C1 District 1 this week by beating Douglas County West, 25-7. This was the team's fifth consecutive win.
Arlington made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 8,463 from 9,042. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 45-33 victory over the Eagles last week.
Fort Calhoun's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Jordan Kann threw for 146 yards and Spencer Shull had 39 yards receiving. On the ground Kann chipped in 172 yards. Tyler Pace helped Fort Calhoun's passing attack out by catching two balls for 38 yards.
Jon Keenan made the biggest impact on defense this week as Michael Huffman's team bested the Falcon. The junior recorded two fumbles.
Fort Calhoun's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Pioneers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Kann has thrown for 942 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, while Jaden Boudle has 28 catches for 506 yards. Kann also leads the league in rushing with 1002 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Pioneers take on Concordia. Fort Calhoun is in first place, while the Mustangs are in fifth place.
