The Sheehan Titans entered their tilt with the Foran Lions with six consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with seven. Sheehan walked away with a 47-37 victory over Foran on Friday. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Sheehan also won the last time the pair played back in January of 2023.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Maddie Deldin, who scored nine points along with three steals and two blocks. That's the first time this season that Deldin posted two or more blocks. Another player making a difference was Faith Doyle, who scored six points along with six blocks.
Sheehan's victory bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Foran, their loss ended a six-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 9-2.
Sheehan will take on Hamden at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Connecticut (Hamden is ranked 14th, while Sheehan is ranked 13th). As for Foran, they will head out on the road to square off against Mercy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Mercy has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
