The Muldrow Bulldogs are taking a road trip to square off against the Checotah Wildcats at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Muldrow is currently enjoying a perfect season and no doubt wants to keep things rolling.
Muldrow proved they can win big last Friday (they won by 46) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They slipped by Eufaula 28-27.
It was another big night for Deshawn Wilson, who rushed for 167 yards and one score while picking up 9.8 yards per carry. Wilson is crushing it when it comes to rushing yards: he's rushed for at least 101 every time he's taken the field this season.
Muldrow didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited Eufaula to a completion percentage of just 40.9%. The Bulldogs weren't nearly as limited: they posted one of 25%.

Muldrow's defense didn't let Koltyn Lane, get away unscathed either: they got into the backfield for 6.5 sacks. EJ Zanders was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up four himself. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 5.8 total tackles per game.
Meanwhile, Checotah humbled Locust Grove with a 55-13 victory. The contest marked the Wildcats' most dominant win of the season so far.
Muldrow better keep an eye on Jayden Ellen. He was instrumental in Checotah's win, rushing for 213 yards and five TDs while picking up 12.5 yards per carry. Landynn Thomason made the highlight reel by snagging an interception and taking it all the way to the house.
Checotah didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Jayden Lake, Shooter Eagleberger, and Thomason picked up one apiece. Thomason got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
Muldrow's record is now 4-0. As for Checotah, their record now sits at 3-1.
Friday's game might be decided on the ground. Muldrow has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 237.8 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Checotah struggles in that department as they've been averaging 223 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's matchup turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Muldrow couldn't quite finish off Checotah when the teams last played back in October of 2024 and fell 48-45. Can the Bulldogs avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
