Oliver Thompson and Lucas Kozak made a big impact no matter where they played. Throwing, Thompson struck out eight batters over three innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off two hits. Meanwhile, Kozak tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. Thompson has been consistent: he hasn't given up more than two hits in six consecutive appearances. At bat, Thompson went a perfect 3-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI, while Kozak earned one RBI, two runs, and two stolen bases. Those stolen bases marked the first that Kozak has snagged this season.
In other batting news, Eli Smith and Isaac Kaynor did most of the damage at the plate: Smith went 1-for-2 with two runs, two RBI, and one double, while Kaynor went 2-for-4 with four RBI and two runs. That double was Smith's first of the season. Ryan Litke was another key player, going 1-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Those road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.3 runs over those games. As for Washtenaw Christian Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-7.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Faith Christian has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .511. However, it's not like Washtenaw Christian Academy struggles in that department as they've averaged .442. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
