Bunn has won four straight games at home, while Roanoke Rapids has won four straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Tuesday. The Wildcats will host the Yellowjackets at 6:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
If Bunn beats Roanoke Rapids with 16 runs on Tuesday, it's going to be the team's new lucky number: they've won their past two contests with that exact score. The Wildcats beat Franklinton last Thursday by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 16-1. The victory continues a trend for the Wildcats in their matchups with the Red Rams: they've now won three in a row.

Emily Baez made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She pitched four innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Baez was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-3. The dominant performance also gave her a new career-high in RBI (two).
In other batting news, Peyton Alford was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with five RBI, three runs, and one double. Maycey Buchanan was another key player, scoring three runs while going 4-for-4.
Bunn always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .586. They are a perfect 8-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.
Meanwhile, while Roanoke Rapids put up plenty of runs on Tuesday, the same can't be said for Rocky Mount. The Yellowjackets were the clear victors by a 15-0 margin over the Gryphons.
Like Bunn, Roanoke Rapids also got a great game from a two-way player: Cadence Ball. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. Ball has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 2-for-2.
In other batting news, Roanoke Rapids got a big performance out of Destiny Wallace, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-2. Those runs were Wallace's first of the season. Another player making a difference was Kyla Odom, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in both of her plate appearances.
Roanoke Rapids has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.7 runs on average over those games. As for Bunn, their victory bumped their record up to 10-3.
Tuesday's game might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Bunn has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .500. However, it's not like Roanoke Rapids struggles in that department as they've averaged .471. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Bunn came up short against Roanoke Rapids in their previous matchup back in March, falling 4-1. Will the Wildcats have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
