DeKalb had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Thursday. They had just enough and edged the Winston Red Birds out 34-32. This was payback for the Tigers, who suffered a 37-36 defeat the last time these two teams met.

DeKalb's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-6. As for Winston, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 6-6.

DeKalb wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next matchup, a 36-28 loss against North Nodaway on the 10th. As for Winston, they will have a little extra prep time after the defeat as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Albany at 6:00 p.m. on January 20th.
