Javarion Brown Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Huss was led to victory by Javarion Brown, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Brown rushed for 208 yards and a touchdown on only 13 carries, and also threw for 237 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 11.9 yards per attempt. The performance once again pushed his average rushing yardage north of 100 yards per game (108.2). He really tore up the turf during one magnificent 75-yard run.
Huss now has a winning record of 3-2. Brown and Huss will take on North Gaston at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Chanyce Ford put up the most rushing yards he's had since back in October of 2023 on Friday. He made seven total tackles. He was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 53 yards.
The victory for South Point keeps them at an undefeated 5-0. Ford and South Point will take on Ashbrook at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Gene Neely Makes It Two for Huss
The second Huss player making an appearance here is Gene Neely, and for good reason. He made 11 total tackles.
Neely must have Forestview's number; he was a force to be reckoned with the last time he faced them too. Neely made 15 total tackles and snagged an interception the last time he and the Jaguars duked it out back in October of 2023.

Blee Posts Huge Game in 28-21 Victory
Patrick Blee's big game helped extend South Point's winning streak to five on Friday. Kings Mountain had no answer to Blee as he rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 73 yards and a touchdown.
Blee is probably looking forward to his next game, a home matchup against Ashbrook on Thursday. When Blee last faced the Greenwave back in October of 2023, he rushed for 127 yards and three touchdowns on only 11 carries.

Antonio Armstrong continued his hot streak on Friday by dropping his eighth-straight game (dating back to last season) with at least five total tackles. He forced a fumble and made 21 total tackles (1.0 for loss).
Kings Mountain moved to 4-2 with that loss, which also ended their four-game winning streak. Armstrong's next game is against Stuart W. Cramer on Friday, where he'll look to repeat that solid effort.
