The Bangor Rams will take on the Mt. Ararat Eagles at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Bangor is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.8 runs per game this season.
Bangor barely beat Messalonskee the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Rams never let the Eagles get on the board and left with a 13-0 win on Monday. The Rams' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.
Emma Tripp made a splash no matter where she played. On the mound, she kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out eight over five innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks any time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Those three runs gave her a new career-high.
