The Fayette County Tigers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 76-36 win over LaGrange. That looming 76-36 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Fayette County yet this season.
Fayette County was led to victory by Donovan Henlon and Christian McAllister. Henlon scored 14 points along with eight rebounds and five assists, while McAllister scored 20 points along with six assists and five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Henlon pulled down eight or more rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jackson Rutley, who scored six points along with three steals.
The win was the third in a row for Fayette County, bringing their record for this year to 9-5. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 65.7 points per game. As for LaGrange, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 12-2.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Fayette County will take on Trinity Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Trinity Christian is out to stop a four-game streak of losses at home. LaGrange is on the road again on Friday and play against Starr's Mill at 7:30 p.m. on January 12th. One thing working in Starr's Mill's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six matches.
