Chambers is 9-1 against Hough since February of 2019, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Tuesday. The Chambers Cougars will head out on the road to face off against the Hough Huskies at 7:30 p.m. Chambers has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 347 points over their last five games.
Chambers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They blew past West Mecklenburg 84-31 at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 56-17.
It was another big night for Jordan Patton, who scored 19 points. Patton set a new season high mark in blocks with two. Markus Kerr was another key contributor, scoring 13 points along with four steals.
Meanwhile, Hough took a serious blow against North Mecklenburg on Friday, falling 81-32. Hough was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 60-23.
The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Evan Otto, who scored six points along with five rebounds.
Chambers now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Hough, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-6.
This contest is shaping up to be a blowout: Chambers hasn't had any problem running up the score this season, having only averaged 69.4 points per game. It's a different story for Hough, though, as they've been averaging only 44 points per game. The only thing between Chambers and another offensive beatdown is Hough. Will they be able to keep them contained?
Chambers won a matchup that couldn't have been any closer in their previous matchup back in January, slipping by Hough 57-56. Will Chambers repeat their success, or does Hough have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
