Jackson Preparatory & Early College's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jonah Payne, who scored 17 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Payne has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Keegan Vrooman, who scored 12 points.
Meanwhile, Will Carleton Academy can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. They breezed by Pansophia Academy at home to the tune of 68-40. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Will Carleton Academy.
Jackson Preparatory & Early College's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Will Carleton Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a massive bump to their 10-7 record this season.
Jackson Preparatory & Early College was able to grind out a solid victory over the Cougars in their previous meeting back in December of 2023, winning 52-45. The rematch might be a little tougher for Jackson Preparatory & Early College since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
