The North Posey Vikings can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They managed a 53-47 win over Forest Park. This was payback for North Posey, who suffered a 41-25 defeat the last time these two teams met.
North Posey's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jazalyn Ward, who scored 15 points along with nine blocks and eight rebounds. That's the first time this season that Ward posted two or more blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Ashton Elpers, who scored nine points along with ten rebounds and five assists.
North Posey's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-14. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points per game. As for Forest Park, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost three of their last four matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-14 record this season.
North Posey will face off against Crawford County at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Forest Park will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against South Spencer at 5:30 p.m. on January 30th. One thing working in South Spencer's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last three games.
