The Sterling Silver Knights will head out on the road to face off against the Woodbury Thundering Herd at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Sterling focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 25 on Tuesday.
Sterling's 21-7 record from last season is now well into the rear view mirror after another tough outing. They took a 40-36 hit to the loss column at the hands of Haddon Heights. Sterling has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Mackenzie McDonald put forth a good effort for the losing side as she scored eight points along with seven rebounds. Another player making a difference was Paris Logan, who scored two points along with six rebounds.
Meanwhile, Woodbury faced Teaneck in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Woodbury was outmatched by Teaneck on the road and fell 59-22. Woodbury can't seem to catch a break and have yet to win any of their three games.
Sterling now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Woodbury, they have fallen quite a ways from their 17-6 record last season and are now at 0-3.
Sterling lost to Woodbury on the road by a decisive 57-38 margin when the teams last played back in February. Can Sterling avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
