Lake Braddock has gone 9-1 against West Potomac recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Tuesday. The Bruins will challenge the Wolverines at 6:30 p.m. Lake Braddock is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
On Friday, Lake Braddock made easy work of South County and carried off a 9-2 win. Considering the Bruins have won six contests by more than six runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
West Potomac not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since April 15th (when they won 11-1). They never let Woodson get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Wolverines considering their two-run performance the matchup before.
Barrett Baker made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run over six innings pitched. Baker was also stellar in the batter's box, going 1-for-4 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and one run. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March of 2025.
In other batting news, Banks Holman was a standout: he went 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. West Potomac is 3-1 when Holman posts two or more runs, but 5-7 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Alex Cortes, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
West Potomac kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 13 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Lake Braddock's record now sits at 18-1. As for West Potomac, the win got them back to even at 8-8.
Lake Braddock beat West Potomac 5-0 in their previous matchup back in May of 2025. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Bruins since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
