The Fletcher Senators will head out on the road to challenge the Englewood Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Fletcher focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Monday.
Last Monday, Fletcher came up short against Mandarin and fell 59-50.
Despite the defeat, Fletcher got a solid performance out of Anthony Vaglienti, who scored 18 points along with eight rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Vaglienti has scored all season. Ryder Kay was another key contributor, scoring four points along with three steals.
Meanwhile, Englewood was within striking distance but couldn't close the gap on Wednesday as they fell 46-41 to ED White. Englewood has struggled against ED White recently, as their match on Wednesday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Fletcher has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-12 record this season. As for Englewood, their defeat was their sixth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-11.
Everything came up roses for Fletcher against Englewood in their previous matchup back in February of 2023 as the squad secured a 68-31 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Fletcher since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
