Western Harnett got themselves on the board against Overhills on Friday, but Overhills never followed suit. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Jaguars. The victory continues a trend for the Eagles in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now won nine in a row.

Western Harnett got a massive performance out of Vanessa Andersen, who scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3. Those two runs gave Andersen a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Olivia Moomaw, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Western Harnett hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in six consecutive contests.

The win got Western Harnett back to even at 6-6. As for Overhills, their loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-6.

Coming up, Western Harnett will host Terry Sanford at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Western Harnett is facing Terry Sanford at the right time seeing as Terry Sanford is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Overhills, they are taking a road trip to take on Westover at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Westover has struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.7 runs per game on average), something Overhills will no doubt try to take advantage of.
