The Bartow Yellow Jackets will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against the Victory Christian Academy Storm at 7:30 p.m. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Bartow comes in on three and Victory Christian Academy on nine.
Even though Central scored an imposing 66 points on Saturday, Bartow still came out on top. Bartow walked away with a 79-66 victory over Central.
Bartow found their leader in underclassman Ja'kylen Crossley, who went 9 for 13 from beyond the arc en route to 27 points and 2 assists. That's the first time this season that Crossley scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Edward Wiggins, who dropped a double-double on 14 points and 16 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Victory Christian Academy faced Edgewater in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Victory Christian Academy managed a 80-74 victory over Edgewater on Saturday. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Bartow is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-8 record this season. As for Victory Christian Academy, their win bumped their record up to 15-4.
