Despite the loss, Sparks still got an impressive performance from Eli Flores, who scored 22 points. Flores scored a full 43.1% of Sparks' points, the second time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Carter Kittrell, who scored 6 points.
Mineral County was led to victory by DeVayne Isom and Triston Jones. Isom scored 15 points along with 6 rebounds and 5 steals, while Jones scored 18 points along with 5 rebounds and 5 steals. Another player making a difference was Quentin Isom, who scored 4 points along with 6 steals and 5 rebounds.
Sparks' loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Mineral County, the victory got them back to even at 1-1.
Sparks will square off against Coleville at 12:15 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Coleville is ranked 77th in California, while Sparks is ranked 65th in Nevada). Mineral County will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against Beatty at 2:45 p.m. on December 1st.
