Shadow Creek won against Manvel last Tuesday with eight runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Shadow Creek Sharks had just enough and edged out the Manvel Mavericks 8-6. The Sharks haven't had any issues with the Mavericks recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Shadow Creek let Lubin Rincon and Allen Cross run wild. Rincon scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-4, while Cross went 2-for-4 with one triple and two RBI. That's the most RBI Cross has posted over his last nine matchups. Chase Perthuis also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.

Shadow Creek's win bumped their record up to 10-5. As for Manvel, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-6.

Shadow Creek wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 9-3 loss against Dawson on the 15th. As for Manvel, they have also already played their next game, a 10-1 defeat against Pearland on the 15th.
