Lakeside was the  2-1 winner over Thunder Ridge when they last played one another  back in August, but their luck changed this time around. The Knights fell just short of the Longhorns by a score of  2-1 on Saturday. The Knights have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.
 Lakeside started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 24-26, 25-18,  25-21.
 Marley McCoy paced Lakeside's offense, picking up ten kills. McCoy got some help from  Jaycee Remus and her 12 assists.  Addison Schmitt controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.
Lakeside's loss dropped their record down to 11-15. As for Thunder Ridge, their win bumped their record up to 7-17.
 Coincidentally, Lakeside and Thunder Ridge will both be playing Osborne the next time they take the court. The Knights will  host the Bulldogs at 10:00  a.m.  on Saturday, while the Longhorns will play them later in the day, at 12:00  p.m.
