Walther Christian Academy fell just short of Westmont by a score of 49-46. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Walther Christian Academy in their matchups with Westmont: they've now lost four in a row.
Several Broncos players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Kilee Wilkins, who scored 11 points along with two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Wilkins has scored all season. Jocelyn Rivera was another key contributor, scoring 15 points.
Walther Christian Academy's defeat was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 10-13. As for Westmont, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 12-13.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Walther Christian Academy will take on Josephinum at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Josephinum is coming into the contest on a three-game losing streak. As for Westmont, they will be playing at home against Yorkville Christian at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
