Prescott hasn't had much luck against Flagstaff recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Badgers will square off against the Eagles at 3:45 p.m. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Prescott's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Monday. Everything went their way against Westview as they made off with an 18-0 win. The victory was some much needed relief for the Badgers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Gracie Pereira made a splash while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 1-for-4.

In other batting news, Lilly James was a standout: she went a perfect 3-for-3 with four runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those four runs gave her a new career-high. Haley James was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3.
Prescott kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 17 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 4.1 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 games they've averaged 10.
Meanwhile, Flagstaff entered their tilt with Deer Valley on Monday with seven consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with eight. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 5-4 W against the Skyhawks.
Cailee Culwell spent all eight innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered four earned runs on 11 hits and racked up nine Ks.
At the plate, Tatum Alex was incredible, firing off two home runs and three RBI while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
Flagstaff pushed their record up to 12-6-1 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.0 runs on average over those games. As for Prescott, their record is now 5-9.
Tuesday's match will be a test for both teams' pitchers. Prescott hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .316. However, it's not like Flagstaff struggles in that department as they've averaged .345. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Prescott came out on top in a nail-biter against Flagstaff when the teams last played back in April of 2024, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Badgers since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
