Volleyball Recap: Kylie Harman Key Part of Team Effort in Cardinals Win

Union Academy's game on Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Wednesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Central Academy of Technology & Arts Cougars. The Cardinals were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Cougars, so the Cardinals were just returning the favor.

Union Academy walked away with the win (and looked especially good in the first set). Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-19, 25-17.

Union Academy's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Kylie Harman led the charge by getting 18 digs and two aces. Landry Carson was another key player, getting 13 digs and two aces.

They weren't the only good server: Union Academy was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 16 aces. That's the most aces they've posted since back in October of 2024.

The victory got Union Academy back to even at 1-1. As for Central Academy of Technology & Arts, their loss dropped their record down to an identical 1-1.

Coming up, Union Academy will square off against Parkwood at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Central Academy of Technology & Arts, they will look to take advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they take on Porter Ridge at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
