Cindy Avitia was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They took a 55-42 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Anzar Hawks. One positive for the Jaguars, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

Cindy Avitia's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Anzar, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 4-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cindy Avitia won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Trinity Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Anzar, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pajaro Valley at 7:00 p.m. on January 15, 2025.
