Basketball Recap: St. Thomas More Picks Up Fourth Consecutive Win

St. Thomas More won the last time they faced New Iberia and things went their way on Tuesday too. The St. Thomas More Cougars managed a 33-28 victory over the New Iberia Yellowjackets. The win was familiar territory for the Cougars who have now won four matches in a row.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead St. Thomas More to victory, but perhaps none more so than Blaire McCauley, who posted 14 points and five steals. McCauley has been hot, having posted three or more steals the last five times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Hayden Quinlan, who had nine points and five rebounds.

St. Thomas More's record is now 6-3. As for New Iberia, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.

St. Thomas More and New Iberia should be looking forward to their upcoming games as both have a sizable advantage in the MaxPreps Louisiana Rankings. St. Thomas More (ranked 63rd) will meet Acadiana (ranked 254th) at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Similarly, New Iberia (ranked 88th) will meet Mamou (ranked 221st) at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
