Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a  season-high score is even better (just ask Mahnomen/Waubun). They never let the Lake Park-Audubon Raiders get on the board and left with  a   17-0  victory  on Wednesday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Thunderbirds considering their one-run performance the  game before.
 Easton Bevins made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he  tossed three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. He has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate,  going a perfect 2-for-2 with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double. He also  brought in an  RBI, marking his first of the season.
 In other batting news,  Cade Walz was a standout: he went a perfect 3-for-3 with three  RBI, one  triple,  and one  run. Those  hits were  his first of the season. Another player making a difference was  Jack Zima, who  went 1-for-2 with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double.
 Mahnomen/Waubun  always had someone on base and  finished the game having  posted an OBP of .622. That's the best  OBP they've posted all season.
Mahnomen/Waubun's win was  their third straight at home, which  pushed their record up to 4-2. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 12.7 runs over those games. As for Lake Park-Audubon,  they are  on  a  six-game losing streak  (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
