Jefferson won the last time they faced Washington and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Cougars came out on top against the Patriots by a score of 3-1.

The final score came out to 25-9, 25-15, 21-25, 25-19.

Liv Mercer paced Jefferson's offense, picking up 12 kills. Mercer got some help from Aven Thorn and her 18 assists. Mercer also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Madison DuVal, each putting up three.

Jefferson's victory bumped their record up to 6-10-3. As for Washington, they dropped their record down to 7-15-4 with the defeat, which was their third straight at home.

Coming up, Jefferson will host Spring Mills at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Washington, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against The Linsly School on the 4th.
