Bradshaw Christian hasn't had much luck against Union Mine recently, but that could start to change on Tuesday. The Pride will host the Diamondbacks at 4:00 p.m. Bradshaw Christian is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.6 runs per game this season.
Bradshaw Christian will roll into the game after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any runs on Tuesday, then bounced right back against Galt on Thursday. The Pride were the clear victors by a 21-1 margin over the Warriors. The Pride have beaten the Warriors the last four times they've met, but they better watch out: this was the closest the Warriors has come to flipping the script.
Aniya McDaniels made a splash while hitting and pitching. She tossed one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. McDaniels was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as she's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games she's played.
In other pitching news, Julionna Ropp looked comfortable as she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with four runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.
Back at the plate, Harlow Ahlstrom was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and three runs. Another player making a difference was Ava Clarida, who went 3-for-5 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Bradshaw Christian always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .683. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2025.
Meanwhile, Union Mine entered their contest against Argonaut on Thursday without any home losses, but there's a first time for everything. The Diamondbacks fell just short of the Mustangs by a score of 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Diamondbacks have suffered since March 10, 2025.
Kaylee Henkel spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and one unearned) run on six hits and racked up seven Ks.
At the plate, Union Mine saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Makenna Linder, who went 1-for-3 with two runs and one double.
Union Mine's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Bradshaw Christian, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
Bradshaw Christian's speedy runners might be the difference in Tuesday's matchup. The Pride have been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 3 stolen bases per game. It's a different story for Union Mine, though, as they've been averaging only 1.2 stolen bases. Will they be able to secure the bases, or will Bradshaw Christian continue to outrun the ball?
Bradshaw Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against Union Mine in their previous meeting back in April of 2025, sneaking past 10-9. Do the Pride have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Diamondbacks turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
