Benton came tearing into Tuesday's match with six straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.8 runs), and they left with even more momentum. They blew past the Captain Shreve Gators 13-1. Considering the Tigers have won 14 contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Benton pushed their record up to 19-1 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.5 runs over those games. As for Captain Shreve, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-8.

Benton will have a chance to go back-to-back against Captain Shreve: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
