Discovery was not able to break out of their rough patch  on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight  loss. They fell  4-0 to the Buford Wolves. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Wolves this season,  with their most recent  defeat being a  3-0  loss  last Wednesday.
 Discovery saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Santiago Daal, who  went 2-for-3 with one  stolen base.  Beiker Yabarra also deserves some recognition as  he  hit his first  double of the season.
Discovery's defeat dropped their record down to 6-12. As for Buford, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won 12 of their last 14 matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-5 record  this season.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Discovery will get a bit of extra time to process the  loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Mountain View at 6:00  p.m.  on  the 14th. As for Buford, they will face off against Marist at 5:30  p.m.  on Monday. The two teams have allowed few  runs on average (the Wolves 3, the War Eagles 2.3) so any  runs scored will be well earned.
