Windsor Charter Academy put the finishing touches on their sixth blowout victory of the season last Friday. They put the hurt on DSST: Cedar with a sharp 62-42 win. Given Windsor Charter Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Colorado basketball rankings (they are ranked 64th, while the Falcons are ranked 242nd), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Windsor Charter Academy can attribute much of their success to Kellen Ball, who scored 20 points along with two steals, and Brayden Cole, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Cole has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Brody Unruh, who scored five points along with seven assists and three steals.
Meanwhile, SkyView Academy put the finishing touches on their ninth blowout victory of the season on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Union Colony Prep 84-34 on the road. The victory made it back-to-back wins for SkyView Academy.
Windsor Charter Academy is on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season. As for SkyView Academy, their win bumped their record up to 11-3.
Windsor Charter Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their match against the Hawks in their previous meeting back in February of 2023, but they still walked away with a 56-51 win. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was SkyView Academy's Matt Fann, who scored nine points along with six assists and six rebounds. Now that he won't be playing on Wednesday, will it be that much easier for Windsor Charter Academy to walk away with another win? There's only one way to find out.
