Volleyball Recap: Jordan Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Jordan, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Thursday. They put the hurt on the Park City Miners with a sharp 3-0 win on Tuesday. The Beetdiggers not only won on Tuesday, but they posted their biggest win since March 4th.

Jordan never let Park City on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-21, 25-23.

Thys Oppermann paced Jordan's offense, picking up ten kills. Oppermann got some help from Shaun White and his 17 assists. White and Oppermann didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with two apiece.

Jordan now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Park City, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 3-3.

Coming up, Jordan will square off against Tooele at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. Jordan is facing Tooele at the right time seeing as Tooele is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Park City, they will welcome Cottonwood at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
