North Johnston is 9-1 against Eastern Wayne since April of 2022 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Monday. The Panthers will be playing at home against the Warriors at 6:30 p.m. North Johnston is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.5 runs per game this season.
North Johnston barely beat Washington the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers put the hurt on the Pam Pack with a sharp 14-4 victory on Friday. Winning may never get old, but the Panthers sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.
Jacob Talton made a splash no matter where he played. He pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.

In other batting news, North Johnston got a massive performance out of Seth Scott, who went 2-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one triple. Scott is becoming a predictor of the Panthers' success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 4-7 when he doesn't). Ethan Rabil was another key player, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.
North Johnston was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .423. They are a perfect 6-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Eastern Wayne lost 22-1 to SouthWest Edgecombe on Friday.
Eastern Wayne's loss dropped their record down to 0-13. As for North Johnston, their win bumped their record up to 12-7.
Eastern Wayne's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: North Johnston has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .436. It's a different story for Eastern Wayne, though, as they've only averaged .309. Will they be able to contain North Johnston's hitters?
North Johnston got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in March against Eastern Wayne by a conclusive 32-2 score. Do the Panthers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
