After a string of four wins, Newaygo's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They fell 46-39 to the Cedar Springs Red Hawks. The Lions lost against the Red Hawks in their previous head to head back in December of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 57-18 score last time.

Newaygo's defeat dropped their record down to 19-4. As for Cedar Springs, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 11 of their last 12 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-5 record this season.

Newaygo will square off against Fremont at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Cedar Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
