Basketball Recap: Hobart Sets Scoring Season-High Against Whiting

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Hobart). They blew past the Whiting Oilers, posting a 94-37 victory. The Brickies haven't had any issues with the Oilers recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Leading Hobart to victory were Ryan Basham and Aidan Leonard. Basham en route to 33 points, while Leonard dropped a double-double with 13 points and 21 rebounds. What's more, Leonard posted five assists, the most he's had since back in November of 2024. Paxson Hicko was another key player, to rack up 12 points and four steals.

Hobart was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Hobart's victory bumped their record up to 9-15. As for Whiting, they dropped their record down to 0-22 with the loss, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season.

Hobart does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Whiting, they will face off against Munster at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Munster will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Whiting surely won't give up without a fight.
