Basketball Recap: Six Straight Home Wins for Arrowhead Christian Academy

Arrowhead Christian Academy had won five straight home games and Hadasa Rubio did her part to make it six on Tuesday. The Arrowhead Christian Academy Eagles really took it to the Verde Valley Coyotes for the full four quarters, racking up a 51-6 win thanks in part to Rubio, who posted 15 points along with seven steals and six assists. Those six assists gave her a new career-high.

Another player making a difference was Leah Rubio, who earned ten points in addition to five rebounds and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last six games she's played.

Arrowhead Christian Academy is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 23.2 points per game. As for Verde Valley, they are on an 11-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-12.

Arrowhead Christian Academy will challenge ASU Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Arrowhead Christian Academy's defense has only allowed 24.2 points per game this season, so ASU Prep's offense will have their work cut out for them. As for Verde Valley, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 28-7 loss against Thunderbird Adventist Academy on the 5th.
