This season hasn't been kind to The Medical Lake Cardinals, who are still winless after their eighth match. They took a serious blow against Quincy on Friday, falling 43-0. Medical Lake has struggled against Quincy recently, as their game on Friday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Jayden Richards went supernova for Quincy, rushing for 218 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 8.7 yards per carry. Richards was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards.
Medical Lake's loss was their eighth straight on the road (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-8. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 8.1 points per game. As for Quincy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 5-3 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Medical Lake will challenge Freeman at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Freeman presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Medical Lake in Washington (Freeman is ranked 88th, while Medical Lake is ranked 258th). As for Quincy, they will head out on the road to face off against Cashmere at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cashmere is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
