The Danville Warriors won the last time they faced the Decatur Central Hawks, and things went their way on Wednesday too. Danville walked away with a 61-48 win over Decatur Central.
Leading Danville to victory were Addison Davis and Emma Ancelet. Davis scored 23 points along with six rebounds, while Ancelet almost dropped a triple-double on 16 points, nine rebounds, and 11 assists. The match was Davis' seventh in a row with at least ten points. Ava Walls was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with six rebounds.
Danville's victory was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 16-3. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points per game. As for Decatur Central, their loss dropped their record down to 9-9.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Danville will square off against North Montgomery at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. North Montgomery will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Indiana Rankings (they are ranked 279th, while Danville is ranked 56th). Decatur Central won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Pike at 7:30 p.m. on January 11th.
