The Bethany Community Wolves will face off against the Cornerstone Charter Cardinals at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams are coming into the match red-hot, with Bethany Community sitting on seven straight victories and Cornerstone Charter on five.
Bethany Community's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They put the hurt on Atkins with a sharp 18-0 win. Considering the Wolves have won nine games by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.
Jacob Schick made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, pitching three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, getting on base in all three of his plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. That's the most stolen bases he has posted since back in March.

Cornerstone Charter came out on top against Bishop McGuinness last Wednesday thanks in part to the team's impressive eight-run sixth inning. The Cardinals were the clear victors by a 13-3 margin over the Villains. Considering the Cardinals have won six contests by more than nine runs this season, Wednesday's blowout was nothing new.
Tyler Smith made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out 11 batters over six innings while giving up three earned runs off four hits (and only one walk). Smith was also big at the plate, getting on base in two of his three plate appearances with two runs.

Bethany Community pushed their record up to 14-3 with the victory, which was their tenth straight at home. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.1 runs over those games. As for Cornerstone Charter, their record now sits at 11-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Tuesday as neither team is afraid to steal. Bethany Community has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Cornerstone Charter struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Bethany Community might still be hurting after the 9-3 loss they got from Cornerstone Charter when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Wolves avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
