Manvel had to endure a five-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Episcopal Knights by a score of 2-0 on Saturday. The Mavericks have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Knights, too.

While Manvel won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22.

Manvel's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Episcopal, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 2-5-1 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Manvel will take on Friendswood at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Episcopal, they will challenge Alief Hastings at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
