In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 44-43 win over Ash Fork. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Grand Canyon also won the last time the pair played on January 9th.
Xochitl Galvan was the offensive standout of the matchup as she dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. That makes it three consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Grand Canyon's points. Another player making a difference was Jaemie Jensen, who scored six points along with ten rebounds and eight steals.
Grand Canyon's victory bumped their record up to 9-13. As for Ash Fork, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 8-18.
Grand Canyon will head out on the road to square off against Fredonia at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Ash Fork, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Williams at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday.
