Madison has been on the road for three straight, but on Thursday they'll finally head home. They will take on the Brookville Blue Devils at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Madison is not getting complacent, as they presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Brookville in Ohio (Madison is ranked 190th, while Brookville is ranked 579th).
Last Monday, Madison beat Preble Shawnee 36-29. The win was just what Madison needed coming off of a 62-33 defeat in their prior game.
Brookville suffered their biggest loss since December 7, 2023 on Tuesday. They were the victim of a rough 53-31 loss at the hands of Milton-Union. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Brookville in their matchups with Milton-Union: they've now lost nine in a row.
Madison's victory bumped their record up to 12-3. As for Brookville, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-10 record this season.
Everything came up roses for Madison against Brookville in their previous meeting back in December of 2023 as the squad secured a 52-25 win. Will Madison repeat their success, or does Brookville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
