The Lakeland Christian Vikings are on the road again  on Friday to play the McKeel Academy Wildcats at 7:00  p.m. Both teams come into the  game bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
 Lakeland Christian put the finishing touches on their eighth blowout victory of the season  on Tuesday. They blew past Santa Fe Catholic 15-6. Lakeland Christian's win was all the more impressive since Santa Fe Catholic was averaging only 3.31 runs allowed on the season.
 The team  relied heavily on  Daniel Herrera, who  scored two  runs while  getting on base  in all four of his plate appearances.  Trey Bentley was another key contributor,  scoring two  runs while going 3-for-5.
 Meanwhile, McKeel Academy waltzed into their contest  on Tuesday with 12 straight wins... but they left with 13. They had just enough and edged the Blue Devils out  3-2.
  Kaden Howell spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: he surrendered only one earned  (and one unearned) run on three hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in five consecutive pitching appearances.
 At the plate, McKeel Academy's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was  Joseph Mills, who  scored a  run while going 3-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of  KJ Scobey, who  went 2-for-3 with a  stolen base and  an  RBI.
 Lakeland Christian's win bumped their record up to 15-2. As for McKeel Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 17-1.
 Lakeland Christian came out on top in a nail-biter against McKeel Academy  in their previous meeting  back in April of 2023, sneaking past  7-5. Will Lakeland Christian repeat their success,  or does  McKeel Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
