Curtis Baptist found their leader in underclassman Maci Butler, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 rebounds. Butler set a new season high mark in steals with eight. Another player making a difference was Mia Price , who scored 12 points along with seven steals.
Laurens Academy's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 51.8 points per game. As for Curtis Baptist, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-3-1.
Laurens Academy lost to Curtis Baptist on the road by a decisive 42-23 margin in their previous matchup back in December of 2022.
