The Thomasville Bulldogs scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They put the hurt on Brooks County with a sharp 81-60 victory. The score was close at the half, but Thomasville pulled away in the second half with 50 points.
Leading Thomasville to victory were Messiah Wilson and Antonie Garland. Wilson scored 12 points along with eight steals, while Garland scored 22 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Garland has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Xavier Burkes jr., who scored 14 points.
Brooks County lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kanilyn Jones, who scored 23 points along with nine rebounds and three steals. Jones hasn't dropped below two steals for six straight games. Camauri Brinson was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with seven assists and two steals.
Thomasville's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-12. As for Brooks County, they have traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-13 record this season.
Thomasville will face off against Monroe at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Monroe will be looking to keep their seven-game home win streak alive. Brooks County will take on Bacon County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Bacon County is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
