Northridge scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Granville Christian Academy 53-20 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Northridge has managed all season.
Northridge's success was spearheaded by the efforts of Ruby Cermak, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and ten rebounds, and Ava Travis, who scored 20 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Travis has scored at least 25% of Northridge's points. Another player making a difference was Layla Comisford, who scored four points along with three steals and three blocks.
Meanwhile, Danville waltzed into their matchup Wednesday with four straight wins but they left with five. The stars were shining brightly for them in a 45-29 victory over Northmor. Given Danville's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 165th, while Northmor is ranked 580th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Northridge is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 4-5 record this season. As for Danville, their victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 7-2.
